INOVAN donations 2017

Inovan donates to charitable institutions,

Inovan GmbH & Co. KG is donating to charitable institutions in the amount of 5.000 €. This amount was split and donated to three different local organisations. The “Familienzentrum Au”, a family centre, received 2.000 € of donation, the “Pforzheimer Tafel”, a food bank, received 1.500 € of donation, as well as the animal shelter Pforzheim, which also received a donation of 1.500 €.

All three organisations are local and will use the money for important social projects.

The family centre is doing important work by offering a language support for children from a migrant background as well as supporting illiterate people, mostly coming from Iraq. Moreover the family centre offers a reading club, where children are supported and motivated to learn how to read. At the moment there are around 100 participants and 25 places for lunch. The donation given from Inovan helps to support the important projects and to refund travel expenses of unpaid volunteers. The donation was received by Doris Winter, manager of the family centre, as well as Peter Benkner, first chairman of the organisation.

Also Anke Laschet, director of the food bank Pforzheim, was happy to receive the donation, as last year, of 1.500 €. The food bank urgently needs a new refrigerated vehicle to transport donated food. In the food bank shop, which can be found in Zeppelinstraße Pforzheim, donated food is sold at favourable prices to people in need.

It is the particular wish of our CEO Dr. Thomas Hör, to donate to the animal welfare. Thus, the third donation of 1.500 € was donated to the animal shelter Pforzheim also in this year. What distinguishes the animal shelter is the selected placement of the animals to new owners, with a very low response rate. With the help of the donated money, the animal shelter wants to renew the broken electricity in their buildings. Furthermore, the shelter needs new boxes for found animals. Due to these urgent projects, the quarantine station had to be postponed, said Nadine Reisacher, director of the animal shelter, who received the donation.

The donation ceremony took place on December 11th, 2017 in the company Inovan in Birkenfeld, where all parties had the chance to exchange their experiences and their current Projects.
